Robert Cabrera, General Manager for ZC&R Coatings for Optics, (ZC&R), a Division of Abrisa Technologies, is pleased to announce that Jim Walker has been named Sr. Technical Business Development Manager for ZC&R. According to Robert Cabrera, “We felt that our coating solutions, business development, and collaboration efforts would benefit from a more in-depth technical understanding of customers’ applications and coating challenges. Jim is a perfect fit for the role as key driver of our focused efforts. His experience in OEM Thin Film Coating Sales Management as well as his extensive technical expertise of nearly 25 years in thin film design, academic degree in physics, photonics application knowledge, and hands-on PVD processing experience definitely allow for better collaboration with customers during their critical program development phase all the way through to production launch.” Robert further states, “Not only does Jim have experience in custom coating design, but his manufacturing experience with volume coating processes will also allow customers in photonics enabled market spaces, such as semiconductor, defense display, imaging, and sensing to benefit from both his technical expertise as well as his knowledge of ZC&R’s cost effective volume manufacturing and innovative coating solution approaches.”
