Chemically Strengthened & High Ion-Exchange (HIE™) Glass
Toughens glass through a sodium & potassium ion-exchange in a salt bath. Typically increases strength by 6 to 8X of standard float glass. Improves impact & scratch resistance, flexibility strength & improved resistance to temperature changes.
AGC Dragontrail™ Chemically Strengthened Glass
Asahi Glass Corporation (AGC) Dragontrail™ is innovative High Ion-Exchange (HIE™) aluminosilicate glass with superior strength, scratch resistance and a beautiful surface finish that is made by applying a proprietary chemical strengthening and tempering process to the highly even and flat float material. Dragontrail™ supports low profile and reduced weight portable field and industrial devices with a toughness 6x that of soda lime float. It is environmentally friendly and is produced without the use of lead, arsenic, and antimony. Dragontrail™ is an excellent choice of a transparent and damage resistant window or display enhancement glass that helps to enhance the usable lifetime of high contact touch displays, field and industrial image sensors, document scanners and on board vehicular and avionics displays.
Corning® Gorilla® Glass
Abrisa Technologies custom fabricates and provides optical coatings on Corning®’s Gorilla® Glass 3 with Native Damage Resistance™ – it is an alkali-aluminosilicate thin sheet glass that is better able to survive the real-world events that most commonly cause glass failure. With its new core composition, this glass enables improved damage resistance and toughness by helping to prevent the deep chips and scratches that cause glass to break.
SCHOTT Xensation® Aluminosilicate Cover Glass
SCHOTT Xensation™ is a high-quality aluminosilicate glass with outstanding resistance to breakage and scratches for all cover and touch applications, including capacitive, resistive, optical, and acoustic. SCHOTT Xensation™ Cover is a high-quality Aluminosilicate glass with outstanding resistance to breakage and scratches for capacitive touch technologies.
PRO-NG™ 120 HIE™ Non-Glare Aluminosilicate Glass
Abrisa Technologies’ PRO-NG™ 120, High-Ion Exchange (HIE™) non-glare aluminosilicate provides 120 gloss level glare reduction in an extra-thin, lightweight format with up to 6x the strength of standard soda lime float. This new HIE™ strengthened non-glare material is Ideal for installed or portable displays with large viewing angles and/or in need of bright/sunlight readability where thinner profile, lightweight, and enhanced durability is key. PRO-NG™ 120 is ideal for ruggedized or high-contact displays used in cockpit, cabin, portable field instruments, signature pads, and industrial equipment control panels where both management of glare and high clarity, low haze viewing of the display is key.
SCHOTT AS 87 eco Ultra-Thin Aluminosilicate Glass
SCHOTT AS 87 eco is an ultra-thin aluminosilicate glass with extremely high levels of bending and impact strength and superior scratch resistance. It is an excellent choice for use as cover or enhancement glass on low profile displays, touch sensors and other applications where thickness and weight are a concern. Abrisa Technologies also provides the material with optional HIE™ chemical strengthening for even higher levels of Knoop and Vicker’s hardness, perfect for applications with high contact and frequent handling. Custom fabrication to size and shape, optical coatings, screen printed graphics and oleo/ hydrophobic coatings Total Solutions are available from Abrisa Technologies.
Soda-Lime & Low Iron Glass
Soda-lime glass, also called soda-lime-silica glass, is the most prevalent type of glass, used for windowpanes, and glass containers (bottles and jars) for beverages, food, and some commodity items. Glass bakeware is often made of tempered soda-lime glass. Abrisa Technologies can provide custom fabrication and thin film coating of a wide selection of soda-lime float glass. Soda-lime glass can be chemically strengthened to increase mechanical strength or heat strengthened/tempered to increase thermal shock resistance and mechanical strength. The substrates can be machined, optically coated, chemically etched, sandblasted, colored, or laminated. Soda-Lime sheet glass is made by a floating molten glass on a bed of molten tin; this method gives the sheet uniform thickness and very flat surfaces. Soda-lime is the base material for most clear, colored, and patterned glass types. Soda-Lime glass can be used in a wide range of applications.
