The custom designed IR filters can be provided with a variety of anti-reflective (AR) coatings, improving the efficiency of the device. The reduction of unwanted reflection enhances the contrast of the image as stray or other ambient light is eliminated. Tempering of the filters for added strength and durability in hostile environment situations can be integrated as well for a highly robust filter configuration.
