Michelle Henderson Joins Abrisa Technologies’ ZC&R Division as Optical Coatings Sales Engineer

Michelle Henderson Optical Coatings Sales EngineerJim Walker, Engineering Sales Manager for ZC&R Coatings for Optics, (ZC&R), a Division of Abrisa Technologies is pleased to announce that Michelle Henderson has joined the company as Optical Coatings Sales Engineer, where she will interface with customers to provide innovative precision thin film coating solutions for the Micro-electronics, Defense and Avionics, Display, Industrial, Automation, Optical Sensors and Imaging, Photonics, Medical/Dental, Life Sciences and other market Applications.

Prior to joining Abrisa Technologies, Michelle has worked for 10 years in the optical thin film coating industry in various support and sales management roles. Her experience with Photonics enabled OEM market applications and
large format Infrared (IR) and other coated optics for Defense and Avionics, laser beam trains and imaging applications will be of significant benefit for Abrisa Technologies and its customers. Not only does Michelle bring over several years of consultative selling and high-volume OEM business development experience, she also has practical “hands on” coating processing experience which she uses to help guide customers toward manufacturable economy of scale solutions.

According to Jim Walker, “Michelle is a great fit for our organization. Her product knowledge and experience in developing key accounts and building long-term relationships with customers, is just what we currently need here at ZC&R Coatings for Optics, as we make further investments in the company to expand and enhance our processing capabilities.” Jim goes on to further state, “Michelle is also strategically located in Western New York State which enables Abrisa Technologies to better serve East Coast USA and Canadian customers and their photonics enabled application needs”

According to Michelle, “ZC&R is well known in the optical coatings market for its high-quality coatings and coating design capability, and I am thrilled to be a part of this prestigious team. I look forward to collaborating with ZC&R’s current and future customers to help provide custom and standard coatings for use from 200nm in the UV up to 20 microns in the Far Infrared on a host of technology glass substrates that not only will meet specific optical performance characteristics but also meet fitness-for-use enhancements and excellent economies of scales with volume manufacturability to meet program and budget needs.”

Lastly, Michelle states “Abrisa Technologies’ broad scope of in-house capabilities allows the company to integrate coatings and glass for a Total Solution approach from design, prototype, and manufacturing with precision and efficiency and that is why I chose to be part of their team. I am also excited about the investments HEF is making to establish a global Photonics Division of which Abrisa Technologies is a key part.”
