Corning® Gorilla® Glass

Abrisa Technologies is a Corning-authorized U.S. finisher of Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3

Abrisa Technologies custom fabricates and provides optical coatings on Corning® Gorilla® Glass 3, a strengthened alkali-aluminosilicate thin sheet glass that is better able to survive common, real-world events that can cause glass failure. Tough Gorilla Glass 3 helps prevent the deep scratches that can cause glass to break, enabling improved damage resistance.

Corning® Gorilla® Glass

Gorilla Glass Features

  • The superior composition of Gorilla Glass allows for a deeper layer of chemical strengthening than is possible with most other chemically strengthened glasses, making it extremely durable and damage resistant
  • Abrisa Technologies can strengthen, fabricate, screen print and optically coat Gorilla Glass
  • Abrisa Technologies can apply anti-reflection optical coatings, ITO coatings and Oleophobic coatings on Gorilla Glass
  • Gorilla Glass 3 is uniquely formulated as a high damage resistant glass providing:
  • Up to 4x improvement in scratch resistance when compared to competitive aluminosilicate glasses
  • High retained strength after use
  • High resistance to scratches and sharp contact damage
  • Superior surface quality

Gorilla Glass Applications

  • Ideal protective cover for electronic displays in:
  • Smartphones
  • Laptop and tablet computer screens
  • Mobile devices
  • Touchscreen devices
  • Optical components
  • High strength glass articles
  • Protective cover glass
  • Handheld devices
  • Avionics and defense
  • Instrumentation
  • Ruggedized display
  • Smart home devices
  • Cameras

Knoop Visual Scratch Test

Scratches are less visible on Gorilla Glass 3 compared to competitive Al-Si when using our Knoop Diamond Scratch Test (after Ion Exchange).
