ZC&R Can Deliver High Yield Narrow & Broadband Transparent Conductive Coatings for Ultra Thin Glass

Jan 28, 2013

Transparent Conductive Coatings for Ultra-Thin GlassTorrance, CA – ZC&R Coatings for Optics, an Abrisa Technologies Company provides narrow and broadband transparent conductive and anti-reflective (AR) coatings with extremely high yields on ultra thin glass in thicknesses as low as 0.07mm. The transparent conductive coatings Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) and Index-Matched Indium Tin Oxide (IMITO) as well as narrow and broadband AR improve optical throughput and reduce stray light noise while providing low reflectance and good sheet resistance control without sacrificing optical performance.

Typical applications include:

  • Spatial Light Modulators, Micro-displays, and Optical Shutters
  • Mobile and Vehicle Mounted Displays
  • Slim Format Sensor Cover Glass
  • Telecommunications Equipment – Liquid Crystal Based Fiber Optic Switches
  • These coatings can be applied to the following ultra-thin glass microsheet substrates:

    • SCHOTT D 263® T eco – colorless borosilicate thin glass (as thin as 0.03mm to 1.1mm)
    • SCHOTT AF 32® eco – aluminoborosilicate thin glass (between 0.1 and 1.1mm)
    • Corning® EAGLE XG® – Slim glass (as thin as 0.3mm)
    • SCHOTT MEMpax® – ultra-thin borosilicate glass (0.1mm to 1.1mm)
    • Other specialty thin glass

Presently, ZC&R can apply these coatings to 150mm and 200mm wafers as well as 6” square substrates with other custom sizes available upon request.
